Policy and Practice is a bi-annual journal on global education published by the Centre for Global Education and funded by Irish Aid. It features in-depth contributions on aspects of global education practice such as research, methodologies, monitoring and evaluation, the production of resources, enhancing organisational capacity, strategic interventions in education, and sectoral practice. It also addresses current issues in the global education policy environment. The journal is free to access, contains an archive of all previous issues, and is published online (www.developmenteducationreview.com).

This presentation gives an overview of the prodecures needed for students to attain a College Certificate in the Global Dimension in Education. This is a process where aspects of modular work are selected and presented in a portfolio at the end of three years of study. It is assessed by a panel of lectures and NGO representatives and with completion of the various exercises and levels of the work are awarded a College Certificate. This award runs parallel to the ongoing degree pathway that the student has chosen.
